Upcoming Walks

From Sunday the 12th July and every Sunday thereafter, for the foreseeable future, we will arrange an A Hill, B Hill, C Hill , A Ramble and A Short walk. These are strictly GWC Members only Walks. Registration is with Eventbrite as there is a maximum of 15 persons allowed on each Hill Walk and 20 on each Ramble and Short Walk including the Leader and Sweeper. Before you register please ensure you know the number of your walk to enable you to register correctly. By registering for GWC walks you are agreeing to the following:

·       To carry your own First Aid kit including a survival bag, a face mask, gloves and hand sanitiser.

·       To take full responsibility for your own safety, to maintain social distancing while on a walk and that your fitness level is suitable for the walk you are planning on doing

·       To abstain from GWC walks:   if you have travelled outside Ireland in the past 14 days. if you have had any symptoms of Covid-19 in the past 14 days, if you have been in contact with anyone who has had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

Departure point 5 km south-east of Kilkishen village, East Clare. Road and path. Splendid views.

Caher Loop Walk Distance 17km. 4.5 hours.
Meeting at Fanore beach @ 10.45am.
Terrain. Minor roads & Green Road.
Lovely walk, great views over the Burren & Aran Islands.

Crestwood-Menlo, new walk.Distance: 10 km. Time 2.5 hours Departure time: 11 am
Park on the right along the road between Crestwood and Coolough Church. New walk through Crestwood, down the Mass Path through Coolough village and Menlo to the bog road. Long trousers recommended.
