
By participating in GWC walks you are agreeing:
- To ensure your fitness level is suitable for the walk you are participating in.
- To read carefully the Guidelines for Walkers. https://galwaywalkingclub.ie/gwc-guidelines-for-walkers/
- To comply with the Walk Leader’s instructions and pace of the walk.
- To carry your own First Aid kit including a survival bag.
- To take full responsibility for your own safety and to adhere to public health & safety guidelines.
- To opt out from GWC walks if you are unwell or carrying an injury.If in doubt err on the side of caution.

Car Pooling: In order to mitigate the impact on the environment and address car parking issues it is recommended that walkers car pool where possible. The recommended contribution to the driver is €5 for a journey of less than 20km and €10 for a journey in excess of 20km per passenger. GWC Members please use the dedicated WhatsApp group for your walk to arrange for car pooling.
Due to the high number of members in our Club we regret to advise that membership is currently closed and we are no longer able to facilitate visitors on our walks.
Please note that dogs are not allowed on GWC walks.
NOTE: All walks must be booked in advance on the dedicated WhatsApp group with a cut-off of 8.00pm on the Friday before the Sunday Walk. Please review our Guidelines for Walkers for the use of WhatsApp.
