We have five grades of walks:

Short Walks: Approx 2 to 2.5 hrs duration, 7 to 10 km, on flat road and track.

Rambles: Approx 4 to 5 hrs,15 to 20 km , on road and track. Occasionally some uneven ground and low level ascents up to 250m.

“A” Hillwalks: For experienced and fit Hill Walkers.Typically 5 to 8 hours with total ascent/descent of 800m to 1400m on rough and steep terrain over several peaks.

“B” Hillwalks: For walkers with experience of hillwalking and a reasonable level of fitness. Typically 5 to 6 hours with total ascent/descent of 600m to 900m on rough and steep terrain over one to two peaks.

“C” Hillwalks: For novice and other walkers seeking hillwalks at a gentle pace.Typically 4 to 4.5 hrs with a total ascent of 400m to 600m, over rough terrain and ascending a single peak.

Accumulated height is the sum of all the climbs/ascents during a walk.Examples below.
